100% Hands-On – seriously, I love to get in the middle of issues and be a part “of the fix”. I bring solutions to reality, provide dynamic strategy to a static security model, and see the big picture where it's not obvious.

I’m really great at being the “right fit” for those situations that require someone with more experience, more patience, and more breadth of knowledge in an ever-changing world of cyber security.  Many times I find myself getting involved in things I think I know nothing little about, but after a few minutes I fully understand the complexity, brevity and necessity of what’s being discussed. That kind of environment thrills me!

Now, the other stuff -
  • Cyber Threat Management, Architecture, Remediation

  • Network Security - Endpoint to & beyond the edge...

  • Cloud Security & Networking

  • VMWare, NSX, Azure, Amazon...

  • Strategic IT Planning and Implementation, and darn good at it.

  • Proposals and Contract Negotiation, Customer and Vendor Management (Not my specialty, but I’m good at it.)

  • WAN Optimization, Storage Architecture and Analysis, Virtualization Technologies (SCVMM, VSphere, C2 Cloud, AWS, Azure….)

  • Wireless, Mobile, MDM solutions. Avaya Phone Systems, Android/Apple, (Wish there were more.)

  • TPRM, Assessments, Cyber Remediation Therapy, Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Brocade, Tufin, Tenable, Netskope, Juniper, Procurve, Citrix, Fortinet, QRadar, Enterprise Wireless, Aruba, Meraki, Dell/HP/IBM/Clone Servers, EMC, Exagrid, Network Appliance, EqualLogic, Pure, Nimble Storage.

  • Project Analysis and Management, which includes having to really be “unpopular” when necessary. (Being honest here.) Project Management is a necessity to get things done right.

  • Disaster Recovery and Backup Strategies (eVault, Veeam, Axient, Dell Data Protection, VMware SRM, VSS, StorageWorks, Cloud solutions, etc.)

  • IT Security and Network Controls, NAC/NAP, IDS/IPS/Anti-Malware Remediation. Tenable, Qualys, RadWare, Symantec, QRadar, Juniper STRM...(It’s a mind-set, not a technique so much.)

  • Cloud Solutions and Initiatives, Network Technologies and Trends, Global Networking Initiatives, and understanding the complexities of what a global company has to deal with to get business & engineering flowing efficiently.

  • Certs? I have them.

  • Completed extensive technical, management and vendor product training while in the US Air Force and concurrent with post-service commercial employment
